Think It Write It: Creative

Think It Write It: Creative is a metacognitive approach to teaching creative writing. Students are explicitly taught thinking skills; and awareness of these skills, in a structure that will allow them to grow, as writers, from Stage 3 to Stage 6.

The approach is based upon research validated pedagogy; guiding students to develop and value their own writing data. They are taught to set, seek, and attain their own personal learning goals through carefully differentiated tasks.

Each task is accessible at different levels, encouraging students to develop their writing from literal interpretations of a writing task to metaphorical and satirical responses.

Note: There are A3 Posters available to assist in the classroom teaching of this resource.
